Most likely you have to charge VAT to your customers — however, we strongly recommend consulting with a professional tax advisor, as we cannot advise on your registration obligations and/or taxability of your sales.

We have partnered with VAT experts at Simply VAT, who can help clarify questions on eCommerce taxation in Europe, as well as help you set up your VAT registration and reporting.

What if I am a US-based seller and only use US print providers?

If you only use print providers that are located in non-EU countries (such as the US), however, your customer is located in one of the European* countries, VAT will be added to the order total on the Printify side.

In such a case, your customer won't have to pay any customs fees upon delivery. However, it also means that you will need to obtain this amount from your customer, as otherwise it will negatively affect your profits.
