How do I create and use artwork templates?

Artwork templates allow you to save a specific layout of images, text, and their precise positioning so you can quickly apply them to other items. This feature is perfect for maintaining brand consistency across different products without needing to rebuild your designs from scratch in the Product Creator.

How do I create a template?

1. Navigate to your My Products list and click the Edit design icon on a product to open the Product Creator.

2. Upload the images or text you want to include in your template.

3. Click and hold on an empty area of the canvas, then drag to select all the elements you wish to save.

4. Click Save as template and give your template a recognizable name.

How do I apply a template to another product?

1. Open a new product in the Product Creator and select My templates from the left-side panel.

2. Click your desired template to place it onto the product canvas.

3. Adjust the position or scale if necessary, then proceed to save and publish.

Important considerations

• Editing: Templates cannot be edited once saved. To make changes, apply the template, modify the design, and save it as a new template.

• Downloads: Templates are stored within Printify and cannot be downloaded as image files.

• Consistency: When applied to a new product, the artwork retains its original dimensions. If the scale isn't changed, the physical print size will remain consistent across different product types.
