How can I create realistic mockups for my designs?
In the mockup preview, the colors of your design may appear different from those in edit mode, depending on the settings you choose. This discrepancy can occur because mockups are adjusted to reflect how the design might appear once printed.
When in preview mode, you can view mockups in two color modes:
- RGB offers brighter and more vibrant colors, and is the default option in the Product Creator
- CMYK provides more realistic colors, closer to what the design might look like when printed
You can easily switch between both color modes in the Product Creator by selecting your preferred option in the Mockup color mode section.
When you choose a setting in the Mockup color mode section, you will also be selecting the color mode in which the mockups will be uploaded to your sales channel. Please keep in mind that if you decide to upload a mockup in RGB to your sales channel, the actual printed design might not look as vibrant.
We still recommend that you upload your designs to Printify in RGB color mode to provide our Print Providers with the widest range of colors to work with. To learn more about which color profiles to use for your design files, click here.
