How can I create realistic mockups for my designs?
In the mockup preview, your design colors may look different from those in edit mode based on the setting that you choose. The colors might change because mockups will be adjusted to show how the design might look once printed.
When in preview mode, you can view mockups in two color modes:
- RGB offers brighter and more vibrant colors, and is the default option in the Mockup Generator
- CMYK provides more realistic colors, closer to what the design might look like when printed.
You can easily switch between both color modes in the Mockup Generator by selecting your preferred option in the “Mockup color mode” section.
When you choose a setting in the “Mockup color mode”, you will also be choosing the color mode in which the mockups will be uploaded to your sales channel. Please keep in mind that if you decide to upload a mockup in RGB to your sales channel, the actual printed design might not look as vibrant.
We still recommend that you upload your designs to Printify in RGB color mode to provide our Print Providers with the widest range of colors to work with. To learn more about which color profiles to use for your design files, click here.
