What is AI Quality Control?

AI Quality Control is currently available only to a limited number of merchants. The feature is in Beta, and it is possible that it will change in future based on results and feedback.

Printify’s Artificial Intelligence Quality Control is an automated system that uses the latest image recognition and artificial intelligence technology to scan a product in production and evaluate its quality. In line with Printify’s Quality Promise, it checks the outcome against the 7 quality parameters below, and supports our Print Providers in evaluating quality of products before they are shipped:

Product model (e.g. brand)
Color
Size
Horizontal offset
Vertical offset
Alignment
Color accuracy

As part of our automated system, we will provide an “AI Quality Control” badge to indicate that it has passed our internal AI quality control in addition to human inspection. This service is available to select Printify merchants at no additional cost.

Merchants will also have the ability to view the “live order status,” including an animation of the AI quality check in production - within minutes of when the order is printed - live to your desktop.

Note

For the initial release of this feature, a video preview will be available for select Printify Express Delivery orders only.

To see a video preview of the finished product

Navigate to the Orders section of your account and select a fulfilled order with “AI Quality Control” indicated in the order status.
Click on AI quality approved to see a video preview of the printed product and the evaluated criteria.

Note

Due to the positioning of the product going through the AI Quality Control, the print may not appear perfectly aligned in the preview.
