How do I submit a W-9 form for Pop-Up Store tax exemption?
The W-9 form is a tax document used in the United States and is applicable exclusively to US residents. By completing this form, individuals can provide their Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) to those who may require it, such as companies with whom they conduct business.
US resident merchants using Printify Pop-Up Store can become exempt from the standard 24% tax rate (backup withholding) by submitting a valid W-9 form. This exemption results in a 0% tax rate being applied to your Pop-Up Store earnings.
To complete the form, go to Store settings → Payouts tab in your Printify account. Fill out the required payout information, and then select “Add W-9 form to receive 0% tax withholdings” to provide the necessary W-9 form details. As this is a legal document, it must be signed with an electronic signature at the time of submission.
