How can I increase the visibility of my listings on eBay US?
To enhance the visibility of your eBay listings, you can promote them within the marketplace. When a listing is promoted, it appears prominently in search results with a “Sponsored” tag. You will only be charged for the ad if it results in making a sale.

This feature is available to sellers with an Above Standard or Top Rated Seller level, and enough account activity.
We recommend using eBay’s Promoted Listings Standard campaigns with a suggested ad rate of 6-10%. eBay offers the flexibility to choose an ad rate between 2-100% of the item’s total sale amount. We suggest starting with lower percentages and making adjustments gradually. For example, run listings at rates of 4%, 6%, 8%, and 10% over 6 weeks. If using a dynamic ad rate, set a cap accordingly.
To promote your listings
- In the Seller Hub, select Edit to open the actions dropdown beside an eligible listing.
- Select Promote.
- Enable the toggle next to the general campaign strategy.
- Select your ad rate strategy:
- Dynamic ad rate,
- or Fixed ad rate.
- Select an existing campaign or create a new one.
- If you chose Fixed ad rate, set your listing’s ad rate.
- Select Apply.

Keep in mind that eBay will take a percentage based on your chosen ad rate if a sale occurs. This can impact your profit margin, so consider adjusting the retail price of the product accordingly.
