How do I review orders with personalized products?
When a customer orders a personalized product, it will require manual approval. During this process, you will need to review and update the product directly within the order.
You’ll receive a notification in your Printify account for every order that contains a personalized product, ensuring you don’t miss any that need review.
Step 1: Open the order that needs a review
In the Orders section of your Printify dashboard, click on the Review needed label to filter all orders containing personalized products that require manual review before production.
Step 2: Review and approve the order
Next, click Review. How you review the order depends on your chosen personalization approach.
Once done with the review, click Approve personalization.
Manual personalization
If you've set up manual personalization, you'll need to update the design according to the custom request provided by the buyer.
- Pop-Up Store, Etsy and TikTok:
- The order will show the customization request under Personalization request from buyer
- Other sales channels:
- You’ll need to retrieve the personalization request manually (e.g., via email or order notes)
- Where you find it depends on your chosen strategy when publishing the product
Automated personalization
If you’ve set up automated personalization the request will be automatically applied to the design, simply review it to make sure it’s ready for production.
Step 3: Send the order to production
Once the personalization has been approved, send the order to production by clicking Submit.
