How do I make my products compliant with the GPSR requirements?
To continue selling to customers in the EU and Northern Ireland, your products must meet the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) requirements. This involves adding a responsible person’s details, along with mandatory product details and warranty information, to each listing. You can add the necessary information to your products individually or in bulk.
To meet the responsible person requirement, you'll need an EU or Northern Ireland postal address and email address that belong either to your own business or to a partner who acts as your responsible person in the EU. You add these once in Store settings, and they appear on the listings you publish.

Ensuring compliance for new products
Step 1: Add your responsible person details in Store settings
Open your Store settings and select the option for selling to the EU, then click Add my details.
Enter the name, postal address, and email address of your responsible person in the EU:
- If your business is based in the EU or Northern Ireland, use your own business details.
- If it isn't, use the details of the partner who acts as your responsible person in the EU.
These details appear on your product listings. Click Save to apply the changes.
Step 2: Add the required product information
When publishing, check the General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) box to include the product information in the product description.
If you have previously updated your product descriptions directly on the sales channel, you can manually update them by copying the information and pasting it into the product description fields on the sales channel.
Step 3: Publish (or republish) your product
Finally, publish the newly created product, ensuring that the Description box is checked.
All set! Your listing will now meet all GPSR requirements.
Ensuring compliance for existing products
Step 1: Add your responsible person details in Store settings
Open your Store settings and select the option for selling to the EU, then click Add my details.
Enter the name, postal address, and email address of your responsible person in the EU:
- If your business is based in the EU or Northern Ireland, use your own business details.
- If it isn't, use the details of the partner who acts as your responsible person in the EU.
These details appear on your product listings. Click Save to apply the changes.
Step 2: Add the required product information to products in bulk
Select the product(s) you want to update with the GPSR product information (up to 24 at a time). Then click More actions and choose Edit description.
Next, click Add product safety information to apply the product details to all selected products at once (the information will vary by product). Then, click Save and publish changes to republish the listings.
Only the product description fields will be updated, while all other product details will remain unchanged.
All set! Your listings will now meet all GPSR requirements.
