What is the difference between single-variant and multi-variant listings on Amazon?
To enhance your customers’ shopping experience on Amazon, you can publish two types of product listings from Printify: single-variant listings and multi-variant listings.
Single-variant listing
A single-variant listing showcases only one version of a product (e.g., one size, color, or style). It’s ideal for simple, standalone products without variations, such as a mug or journal available in only one size or color.
To create a single-variant listing on Printify, untick the Create a parent listing for this product option when publishing the product. This will keep your product as a standalone listing without any variations.
Multi-variant listing
A multi-variant listing groups different versions of the same product under a single parent listing. This allows buyers to select options like size, color, or style from drop-down menus, making the shopping experience more convenient.
It’s best suited for products with multiple options that customers can compare and choose from—for example, t-shirts available in different sizes and colors.
To create a multi-variant listing, check the Create a parent listing for this product box when publishing the product. This will automatically generate a parent listing, allowing you to easily add or remove variants as needed.
If you need to add or remove variants later, simply select or deselect variations on Printify and republish the product to update the listing.
