What happens if a customer orders multiple copies of the same personalized product?
When a customer orders multiple items of the same personalized product, each item will feature the same personalized text. Currently, our system does not support multiple personalizations within a single order; only one set of personalized details can be included per order.
However, if you receive an order for multiples of the same product and the customer requests different personalizations for each item, you can manually adjust the order in Printify using the following workaround method:
- Within the order details in Printify, click Edit order.
- Add the same personalizable product to the order by clicking Add product to order, as shown in the image below. Ensure not to duplicate the product that’s already in the order.
- Next, duplicate the newly added product as many times as needed. This will create multiple line items that can then be reviewed individually. Remember to adjust the quantity of the original item in the order to one.
- Proceed to save the changes made to the order.
- Finally, once each personalizable product design has been reviewed, send the order to production.

On Etsy, customers can place an order for multiple items of the same product with different personalizations by adding each item to the cart individually.
