What determines the shipping carrier of my orders?
Printify automatically selects the shipping carrier for each order to ensure reliable and timely delivery. While you can’t choose the carrier manually, the carriers available for your order depend on the setup we’ve established for each Print Provider.
Carrier decisions are based on performance data, marketplace requirements, and regional logistics.
Which factors determine the carrier for my order?
Each Print Provider works with specific shipping carriers. When you place an order, the available shipping options and estimated delivery times are determined by that provider’s setup.
Because each provider’s network may differ, you may see different carriers listed depending on the Print Provider and product you choose.
How does Printify choose carriers?
We evaluate carriers based on several key factors:
- Delivery speed and success rates
- Compliance with marketplace shipping standards (for example, Etsy and Amazon’s requirements for on-time delivery and valid tracking)
- Coverage in specific regions
- Overall customer satisfaction
These decisions are data‑driven and made in the best interest of you and your customers.
Why can the carrier for my order change?
To maintain strong delivery performance and reduce delays, Printify may occasionally update which carriers are used by certain Print Providers.
For example, a provider may use OnTrac for West Coast U.S. orders or DHL for international shipments if those carriers offer better coverage or faster delivery.
Carrier updates also allow us to:
- Meet marketplace shipping requirements
- Improve delivery reliability
- Support increased order volumes during peak periods
Where can I see which carrier is used?
You can check the Shipping Rates page to see which carriers each Print Provider uses. Once the order ships, the specific carrier will appear on the order’s tracking page.
Once the order is shipped, the order details will show the carrier name and tracking number for each shipment. If your order contains items from different Print Providers, each shipment may have a different carrier.
What should I do if there’s a shipping issue?
