How do I upload custom fonts in the Product Creator?

You can make your designs stand out by uploading your own fonts to the Printify Product Creator. This helps you keep brand consistency, streamline your workflow (no need for external tools), and unlock new personalization possibilities for your customers.

With the Custom Font Upload feature, you can use your licensed fonts directly in your designs — your brand, your font, your way. Best of all, this feature is free for all Printify users.

Uploading a font

Open the Product Creator and select the Add text section.
In the fonts panel, click Upload fonts under My fonts. You can also access the Upload fonts option from the font dropdown in the top toolbar.

In the upload window, drag and drop your font file or click Browse to select it.
- Currently, only .TTF (TrueType) font files are supported.
Tick the box to confirm: “I have the right to use this font for its intended purpose.”
Click Add fonts.
Once uploaded, your fonts will appear under My fonts in the list.

Using uploaded fonts

Select the Add text tool in the Product Creator.
In the Fonts panel, go to My fonts.
Choose your uploaded font from the list.
Type your text — it will display in your selected font.

Note

Uploaded fonts can also be used when setting up product personalization. This means your customers’ personalized text can display in your own custom fonts, making your products more unique and on-brand.

FAQs

Why am I getting an error when uploading a font?
Errors may occur if:

The file type isn’t supported (only .ttf is accepted).
The font file is corrupted.
The file name includes special characters.

Try uploading a valid .ttf file with a simple name to resolve the issue.

Can I upload OTF or WOFF fonts?
Not at this time. Only TTF files are supported. Support for OTF files is planned for the future. If you’d like to use OTF fonts sooner, please reach out to us at aurelie.ye@printify.com — your feedback helps us prioritize this feature.

Is there a limit on file size or the number of fonts I can upload?
No. There are currently no limits on file size or the number of fonts you can upload.

Can I delete or replace fonts later?
You cannot delete uploaded fonts. However, you can replace a font in your design by selecting another uploaded font.

Who can use the Custom Font Upload feature?
The feature is free and available to all Printify users.

Can my customers use uploaded fonts when personalizing text?
Yes. If you enable personalization for a product, customer input will display in your uploaded fonts.
