How do I connect my Squarespace domain to my Printify Pop-Up Store?
If you bought your domain through Squarespace and want to use it with your Printify Pop-Up Store, you’ll need to connect it manually. This process requires you to get specific A/CNAME records from the Entri Connect flow in Printify and then enter them into your Squarespace DNS settings.
Step 1: Get the records from Printify
- In your Printify Pop-Up Store settings, navigate to the Your domains section.
- Click Connect existing domain and enter your full domain name that you purchased via Squarespace (e.g., yourstorename.com).
- When the Entri Connect flow starts, choose Manual setup.
- You’ll see one or more A records listed (usually two). These contain the Host (usually “@”) and Data (IP address) values that point your domain to your Pop-Up store.
- Keep this Printify page open and copy these values, as you will need them for the next step
If you want to use a subdomain (e.g., shop.yourdomain.com):
- In the Entri Connect manual setup, you’ll be given a CNAME record instead of A records.
- Copy the Host (the subdomain prefix, such as “shop”) and the Data (the target address provided by Entri Connect).
- The rest of the process in Squarespace is the same as described below in this article, except you’ll add the CNAME record(s) instead of A records after removing Squarespace defaults.
Step 2: Delete Squarespace defaults and add custom A or CNAME records
To connect your domain, you’ll need to remove Squarespace’s default A records and add the ones from Printify.
- Log in to your Squarespace account.
- Go to Settings → Domains.
- Click the domain you want to connect.
- Click DNS, then choose DNS Settings.
- Scroll down to the Custom Records section.
- Delete the existing Squarespace A records first. Click the trash icon next to each one under Squarespace Defaults.
- Now, click Add record under the Custom Records section.
- If prompted, enter your current password or use your two-factor authentication (2FA) method and click Continue.
- Configure the first A record using the values you got from Printify:
- Type: Select A from the dropdown menu.
- Host: Enter the Host “@” value provided by Printify
- Data: Enter the corresponding IP Address (Data) value provided by Printify.
- If prompted for TTL: Leave it as the default or set it to 1 hour
- Click Save.
Repeat steps 9-10 as many times as needed (usually, there will be two records provided, so you will need to create and save two A records).
Once both records are added, the setup in Squarespace is complete. You can check out this video walkthrough for more insight on how to add custom DNS records to your Squarespace Managed Domain.
Step 3: Verify the connection
Return to your Printify Pop-Up Store settings page, where you started the manual connection.
DNS changes can take up to 48 hours to update, but it usually happens faster. If the connection isn’t verified right away, give it a few hours and try again.
