What type of print files does Printify require?
Printify supports several file types for creating high-quality product designs. This article explains the supported formats, recommended resolutions, file size limits, and important tips for preparing your artwork. You’ll also see where to find product-specific file requirements inside the Product Creator.
These are the supported file types: JPEG, PNG, and SVG.
- The recommended resolution for JPEG/PNG files is 300 DPI; however, a lower resolution file might also be sufficient (depending on the product). If the product requires large-sized files (like leggings, blankets, or tapestries), then the required resolution is 120-150 DPI.
The maximum file size is 100 MB for JPEG and PNG files, and 20 MB for SVG files.
- In case you have a low-resolution design you want to use, we’ll automatically enhance the quality of the print file before sending the order to production so that it’s more suitable for printing. However, we recommend following the print file requirements for every specific product and using high-resolution designs whenever available.
- When it comes to creating or editing SVG format files, we recommend using Adobe Illustrator or CorelDRAW.
- We don't recommend using SVG format files for photographs and raster images. If the majority of your content consists of raster images, please upload them to Printify in JPEG or PNG files instead.
