What kind of artwork is not suitable for embroidery?

Photographs, gradients, as well as small and intricate details, are the main things that can’t be successfully embroidered and should be avoided.

We recommend keeping your design simple, as there are limitations to what can be achieved using the embroidery technique. Following our guidelines will ensure that you receive a product that matches the mockup preview.

Note

If your submitted design does not follow the guidelines, the Print Provider is likely to make the necessary adjustments to it that will allow it to proceed to production (as shown in the examples below).

Background and small details removed

Design element “est. 1985” was enlarged and pulled out of the logo.

Changes to gradients and small gaps filled

Gradients were replaced with clean lines.
Small areas of negative space were filled in with a background color so that the final embroidery is clear (larger areas of negative space were left untouched).
