What is TikTok Made-to-Order and how do I qualify for it?
TikTok Made-to-Order (MTO) is a listing option for print-on-demand products that need extra time to produce. Instead of the standard 2-day dispatch requirement, MTO gives you 3–14 business days of handling time to fulfill and ship an order — giving you more flexibility for products that take longer to make.
You gain access to this feature automatically when you connect your store, but activation on each TikTok product is required. Without it, the extended Made-to-Order dispatch timeframes won’t apply.

Getting access to Made-to-Order feature
Made-to-Order access is automatically granted when you connect your store to the Printify app as long as your account is eligible.
If your store runs into issues with Made-to-Order eligibility, contact support at tiktoksupport@printify.com.
Made-to-Order feature eligibility
To become and remain eligible for Made-to-Order, your store needs to stay in good standing across these areas:
- Seller performance: Your Shop Performance Score (SPS) needs to stay at 3.5 or higher. (If you don’t have an SPS yet, you’ll qualify as long as you have fewer than 3 policy violations in the last 30 days.)
- Account health: Your Account Health Rating (AHR) needs to stay above 150.
- Risk status: Your account should not be flagged as High Risk.
For detailed information on TikTok Made-to-Order eligibility requirements, take a look at the TikTok Shop Academy guide.
If your account drops below these thresholds, you’ll lose:
- Your spot on the eligible seller list
- The ability to upload new print-on-demand products
- Access to the Made-to-Order feature
- Your existing print-on-demand product inventory will be set to 0 (products stay listed but can’t be purchased)
If your metrics improve and rise back above the thresholds listed above, your Made-to-Order and print-on-demand access will be restored automatically. There’s nothing you need to do on your end to request reinstatement.
Setting up your products as Made-to-Order
Please note that Made-to-Order isn’t applied to your products automatically. Activation is required after publishing, for both new and previously published products. You can do this individually or in bulk.
Step 1: Verify access to the Made-to-Order feature
Before activating a Made-to-Order listing, make sure that Made-to-Order is enabled at the shop level in Seller Center.
- Log in to the Seller Center.
- Navigate to the Fulfillment Performance page.
- Review the feature requirements and make sure Made-to-Order is activated for your shop.
Once you’ve confirmed the feature is enabled, you can start setting up product listings with a Made-to-Order handling time. If the option doesn’t appear, it may be that your shop doesn’t currently meet the eligibility requirements.
Step 2: Activate Made-to-Order for a product
For an individual product
- To start using Made-to-Order, log into Seller Center.
- Click Products on the left-hand navigation bar.
- Select Manage products.
- Click Edit to edit your product.
- Next, under Variation list, click the expanded arrow on the right-hand side.
- Under Options, on the right-hand side, click the checkbox next to Activate made-to-order.
- You’ll see a new Selling column where you can adjust your handling time (days to ship). The default is set to 5 days.
Recommended settings:
- Products within the Printify TikTok Catalog: Keep the 5-day default.
- Products and Variants outside the Printify TikTok Catalog: You can extend to 7 days.
Please set a handling time that reflects your actual production needs. Avoid defaulting to the maximum 14-day window unless it’s truly necessary. If you notice products consistently taking longer to ship, you can adjust the handling time accordingly.
- Once your handling time is set, go back to the product listing and click Update in the top right to save your changes.
In bulk for multiple products
- Go to your desktop Seller Center dashboard.
- Click on the Products tab and select Manage products.
- Open the Bulk actions drop-down menu and choose Edit products.
- Make sure you are under the Download tab.
- Under Step 1, select the specific products—or check the box to select all items you want to update.
- Under Step 2, select All Information.
- Click Generate template and download the product list.
- Open the downloaded spreadsheet template on your computer, update your fulfillment or MTO handling times (recommended 5 days), and save the file.
- Return to the bulk edit section in the TikTok Shop Seller Center to upload your completed spreadsheet under the Upload tab.
- Submit the file(s) and wait for your updates to process and pass review (which typically takes 24 to 48 hours).
