How can I set up shipping for TikTok Shop US?
To set up shipping for your TikTok store, you can either enable free shipping (with the shipping fee included in the product price) or create weight-based flat rates.
Free shipping
If you’re planning to sell a variety of different product types (t-shirts, hoodies, mugs, etc.), or if you don’t want to spend much time setting up shipping, this will be the right option for you. Using this method, you will be charging the customer with the shipping cost already included in the product price. Products with free shipping will have a “Free shipping” badge on TikTok.
Use Printify’s shipping rates to determine the amount by which you should increase the product price.
- In the TikTok Shop Seller Center, navigate to “Promotions” → “Promotional tools” or click here.
- Click Create under “Shipping fee discount”.
- Select the following options:
- Promotion period: Indefinite
- Shipping areas: All areas
- Shipping fee discount type: Free shipping
- Promotion criteria: None
- Applies to: Entire shop
- Save the changes.
When creating a new product in Printify, make sure to check the Shipping cost column and include the shipping cost in the retail price of the product.
Once you’ve completed all these steps, your TikTok shop is officially ready to sell. As the next step, create and publish products from your Printify account.
Weight-based flat rates
This will be the right option for you if you’re starting out with a few products that are all of the same product type – such as all shirts, all phone cases, or all leggings. To make things a bit easier, our recommendation is to choose the same Print Provider for all of them. The product type should also be of the same category (based on the shipping rate categories) to ensure shipping fee accuracy.
Step 1: Enable weight-based rates
In the TikTok Shop Seller Center, go to “Orders” → “Shipping Options”, and click on Select for the “Seller shipping” option.
Step 2: Create a shipping template
Next, go to “Shipping” → “Shipping Templates” or click here. Select “Add New Template” and name your template. We recommend naming it after the product type and the Print Provider that you will be using (e.g. “Dimona Tee T-shirts”).
Step 3: Add weight ranges and rates
Set up weight ranges and rates by choosing “Use Price conditions”. In this example, we will assign the weight of 0.5 lb to a single t-shirt (this can be any product: the actual product weight doesn’t matter, since we’re just using this to differentiate the product quantity).
Example: The shipping cost of one t-shirt by Dimona Tee within the United States is 4.75 USD. The shipping cost of each additional shirt is 2.40 USD.
Number of shirts | Total shipping price | Total weight |
---|---|---|
1 shirt | 4.75 | 0.5 lb |
2 shirts | 4.75 + 2.40 = 7.15 | 0.5 + 0.5 = 1 lb |
3 shirts | 4.75 + 2.40 + 2.40 = 9.55 | 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.5 = 1.5 lb |
Your shipping template should look similar to the one below. Add as many ranges as you wish, however, we recommend adding at least 10 ranges.
Step 4: Assign weights to your products
Navigate to “Products” → “Manage Products”. Click on a product to edit it and add 0.5 lbs as the product weight. Save the changes.
Once you’ve completed all these steps, your TikTok shop is officially ready to sell. As the next step, create and publish products from your Printify account.
