How is Express Delivery displayed to my Etsy customers?
When you enable Express Delivery for a product, both Standard and Express delivery options become available, allowing customers to select their preferred shipping method.
This can be achieved through the product title, mockup (“Express” badge), and/or description:

Here’s a step-by-step breakdown of what the ordering process looks like for your Etsy customers:
Step 1: Selecting a product with Express Delivery
A customer selects a product offering the Express Delivery option and then proceeds to choose their desired size and color. To enhance visibility, it’s important that your product clearly indicates the availability of Express Delivery in its title, mockup, and/or description.
Step 2: Adding the phone number
Next, the customer should enter their phone number in the Etsy personalization field:
- If they select the Express Delivery option in the next steps, the number entered in this field will be imported as the customer’s phone number in Printify. This phone number is essential because Express Delivery relies on courier delivery services.
- Alternatively, if the customer opts for Standard Shipping, the phone number entered in this field will not be imported into Printify, as it is not necessary for delivery.
Step 3: Adding the product to the cart
During this step, the customer adds the product to the cart. At this stage, it’s worth noting that Etsy automatically preselects the Standard delivery option in the customer’s cart.
Step 4: Choosing the Express Delivery option
The customer selects the Express Delivery option from the drop-down menu, which triggers the display of a new delivery estimate.
Step 5: Final order review and submission
Once the customer has provided their shipping address, they’ll have the opportunity to review their order before finalizing it.
