How do I create products with CoFounder?

CoFounder is Printify’s new AI assistant that helps you launch products faster and with less effort. Instead of starting with a blank canvas, CoFounder suggests product designs, highlights what is trending, and guides you from idea to ready-to-publish product.

Think of CoFounder as your creative partner. It is here to spark ideas, reduce friction, and speed up your journey to your first sale.

How to use CoFounder

CoFounder is currently available to selected Printify accounts. If your account has access, go to the Catalog and click the AI CoFounder icon in the top right corner of the screen. This will open the assistant so you can start generating ideas and designs.

Next, you can use CoFounder to help you pick a product and generate a design for it:

Type a theme or idea into the chat window, or explore the Trends tool first if you need inspiration.
Pick a product for your design. If you do not like the suggestion, ask CoFounder for another.
If you like the product choice, click on the Suggest a design button.
Review the design and ask for new options or adjustments if you are not satisfied.
Click Use this design to go straight into the Product Creator.
Make final adjustments and publish your product.

Tip

Designs generated with CoFounder are always square and have an opaque background. If the background is not important to your design, you can easily remove it with the Background removal tool inside Product Creator when making adjustments.

Now it’s time to make final adjustments in Product Creator and publish your listing.

Make adjustments to your design (for example, reposition, resize, or remove the background) and click Save product.
Next, edit your listing details before publishing. CoFounder can help by creating the title, description, and tags for you. Click Create with CoFounder and describe what you want your listing to be like.
Review the listing details, make any final changes, and click Publish to add the product to your store.

What CoFounder can and cannot do

CoFounder can:

Spark ideas and connect them to current trends.
Generate ready-to-use designs and send them into Product Creator.
Iterate on suggestions until you are happy.
Ask guiding questions if you are not sure where to start.
Suggest Printify Choice products that fit your idea.

It cannot:

Guarantee sales or research your markets.
Check IP laws for you.
Suggest non-Printify Choice products from the Catalog.
Edit or fine-tune designs inside Product Creator.

FAQs

What products can I use with CoFounder?
Right now, CoFounder works best with products that have square design areas, such as T-shirts, tote bags, mugs, sleeveless shirts, and towels.

How does the Trends tool fit in?
CoFounder uses insights from the Trends tool in the background to understand what is popular in the market and then helps you turn those insights into ready-to-launch products.

Can CoFounder check copyright or trademark issues?
CoFounder filters out many topics that may cause issues, but it does not guarantee full protection. You are responsible for ensuring that your designs do not infringe on intellectual property rights. If our automated copyright detection system flags your product when orders are placed, the order may be put on hold until the design is updated.
