What is Personalization Hub for Shopify, and how does it work?
With Printify’s Personalization Hub, Shopify customers can quickly create personalized versions of your products right from the product page.
Once personalization is enabled for a product, shoppers will see a personalization button on the product page, which opens the Personalization Hub.
There, they can upload images, add text, and preview their personalized design in real time. When they’re satisfied, they simply save their design and proceed through checkout as they normally would.

Set up personalization app block on Shopify
Add the personalization app block to your Shopify theme to activate the personalization hub and show the personalization button on eligible product listings. The button appears only on products that include personalization layers.
Step 1: Open the theme editor for your Shopify store
In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes. Click Customize on your active theme.
Step 2: Open the default product page setup
In the theme editor, navigate to Products → Default product page using the top menu.

Set up Personalization Hub for a product
Step 1: Open Product Creator
Choose a product from the Printify Catalog. In the Product Creator, click on the Personalization option in the left-hand menu.
Step 2: Add personalization layers
Choose from:
- Text fields – for names, dates, or messages. Set a character limit for text fields (e.g., 15 characters for a name).
- Image fields – for logos or artwork. Image requirements: PNG, JPEG, or JPG format, max size 100 MB (fixed and non-adjustable).
- Multiple layers – combine text and images for more options.
Name each layer clearly (e.g., "Your name," "Company logo") to help guide buyers in the Personalization Hub.
Step 3: Preview the customization flow
On the product details page, go to the Personalization section. Click Preview hub to test it and experience the buyer’s customization flow.
Step 4: Adjust layer instructions (optional)
If needed, update the instructions for each personalizable layer. Save the product as a draft to apply your changes to the Hub link.
