How can I create AI mockups on Printify?

AI mockups let you generate realistic, AI-powered product mockups directly on Printify—no external tools needed. Using advanced AI models, you can quickly visualize your designs on supported apparel products and speed up your product creation workflow.

Note

AI mockups are being rolled out gradually, so the feature may not be available to all merchants yet. More products and customization options are coming soon.

Step 1: Open the Product Creator

Log in to your Printify account.
Go to the Catalog.
Select any apparel product.

Step 2: Upload or select your design

In the Product Creator, upload your design or choose an existing one.
Adjust the design placement as needed to make sure it’s ready for mockup generation.
Click Save product.

Step 3: Open the AI mockups tool

When the Mockup library opens, select AI-generated.
Click Generate mockup.

Step 4: Generate AI mockups

In the Generate your mockup panel:

Select a Product variant.
Choose the Print area.
Under Describe your AI mockup, review or adjust the prompt options (for example, model type, age range, appearance, pose, and expression).
Select a Background style.
Click Generate mockup to create your AI mockups.

Step 5: Review and select your AI mockup

Once the mockup is generated, you’ll see a confirmation message that your mockup is ready.

Review the generated AI mockup preview.
Choose one of the following options:

Click Select mockup to use this mockup for your product.
Click Regenerate to create a new variation with the same settings.

Step 6: Generate more AI mockups for the same product

In the Mockup library, stay on the AI-generated tab.
Click Generate more with AI.
Adjust the mockup settings (such as model attributes or background).
Generate additional AI mockups for the same product.
Select the mockups you want to use and continue with your product setup.

How do I generate AI mockups for existing products?

You can also generate AI mockups for products you’ve already created:

Go to My products.
Select the product you want to update.
Open the Mockup library.
Generate new AI mockups from there.
Make sure to republish the updated mockups to your sales channel so the changes are visible in your store.

Note

When you add an AI mockup, it’s currently placed at the end of your mockups list, so you may need to drag and drop it to the correct variant (you can also move mockups between variants).
