Why can’t I publish my products to eBay US?
If you are having trouble publishing your products to eBay US, or the products show a listing error, the following is a list of common reasons that may be causing the issue.
Your eBay account is temporarily suspended
After opening a new eBay account and publishing your first few products, it is quite common to receive an account suspension. It’s a security measure implemented by eBay and can typically be resolved soon after by following the directions in your eBay Messages.
You need to renew your eBay store connection
Your eBay store connection will expire in these cases:
- You’ve changed your eBay account password
- Printify’s access to your eBay account has been revoked
To re-establish your store connection to Printify, click Reconnect, and you’ll be directed to log in to your eBay account. Any previously published products won’t be affected in any way.
You have reached your eBay selling limit
eBay requires its sellers to follow a strict selling limit – you will see a banner in your Printify account that shows what your current limits are. Visit this article to learn more about eBay selling limits and how to increase them.
Your product title and/or description may contain prohibited content
The following content is prohibited and will be blocked by eBay, resulting in a listing error:
- Words “COVID-19” or “coronavirus”
- Words “like new”
- URLs or links to websites that are not eBay.com
- Email, website, postal address, or phone number
- Information about your physical location
- A mention of external payment methods (for example, “money order”)
- Using statements that may appear as overselling
- Asking customers for any personal information (may happen on listings that offer customizable items - you can try to change the wording of the information you request from the buyer)
- Statistics that your eBay account has not achieved yet
To fix the issue, check your listing title and description for any of the content mentioned above and remove it. Then proceed to publish the product as usual.
You tried to publish a product with a non-US Print Provider
If you tried to publish a product fulfilled by a non-US Print Provider using the automatically assigned shipping rates, the publishing may fail. In that case, you should republish the product with the Free shipping option and include the shipping costs in your retail price.
You’re a new eBay seller and don’t have any previous listings
The first eBay listing for new sellers must be created directly on eBay. Once this is done, you can proceed to publish Printify products to your eBay store and delete the initial listing if necessary.
You’ve encountered a technical error
- Deselect any out of stock product variants, then retry publishing.
- Our eBay integration depends largely on what eBay is doing, so when it comes to publishing, we recommend retrying publishing later in case eBay’s server is experiencing any technical issues.
Your product couldn’t be published due to an unspecified reason
Occasionally, you may encounter a general publishing error that doesn’t provide a detailed explanation of the issue. To resolve this, please contact our Support Team.
