How can I update shipping rates in Shopify?
Periodically, the shipping rates for Printify products may change, requiring adjustments to the shipping rates applied in your Shopify store to align with the updated rates. The specific actions needed will depend on your chosen Shopify shipping setup.
If you’re using the built-in Printify shipping rates (default option)
If you have published your shipping rates to Shopify, all you need to do is to republish the product for which shipping costs were changed with the automatic shipping profile setup.
- Navigate to the My Products section in Printify and click on the product card.
- Click Edit under Assign shipping profile and select the “Automatically assign and update profile if needed” option from the drop-down menu.
- Click Publish to sync the changes with your store.
If you made any changes to your products on Shopify, make sure that only the Shipping profile box is checked when republishing. That way you will not overwrite the other product details.
We'll assign the correct Printify shipping profile to the product (e.g., “Standard: Monster Digital – T-Shirts”), and update the rates if needed. That means if you have other listings assigned to this profile, the rates will be updated for them as well.
If you're using the Printify Shipping Calculator
If you have enabled the Printify Shipping Calculator, you don’t have to take any action because the shipping rates will be automatically updated if any changes occur.
If you're using free shipping
If you have set up free shipping (shipping cost included in the retail price), you will need to adjust the retail price of the product based on the new shipping cost.
