How can I combine multiple products into a single listing on Etsy?
Although our Etsy integration is designed so that each product has its own listing, it is possible to merge multiple listings on Printify into a single listing on Etsy using a workaround method.
Watch our video for step-by-step instructions, or follow the steps outlined below to combine multiple products into a single listing on Etsy.
Step 1: Create products in Printify
Start by creating the products on Printify that you want to include in the Etsy listing. Make sure that all products, except one, remain unpublished. Publish one of the listings to Etsy.
To prevent your customers from viewing the incomplete product listing, you can temporarily hide it in your store by selecting the “Hide in store” option before publishing.
Step 2: Add custom variations to the product in Etsy
After publishing one of your products, navigate to Etsy and add custom variations to the same product listing. For instance, create one variation for all the colors you plan to offer, and a second one for all the sizes you want to provide.
Step 3: Copy and paste the SKU numbers
Next, go to My products in Printify and select one of the products you want to include in the same listing. Scroll down to the Variants section, individually copy the SKUs, and paste them into the Etsy listing. Set the preferred retail price for each new variant and set the quantity to 999. Repeat this process with the other products, if needed.
Step 4: Manually upload the mockup images for the new variations
Once you have added all the SKUs, you will also need to upload the mockup photos from the listings and link them with the corresponding SKUs. To do this, save the mockups to your computer from the listing page on Printify or download them from the Product Creator.
Next, return to Etsy and upload the mockup images. You can use Etsy’s linking function to associate the mockups with the variants you have created.
Once you have completed these steps, your listing setup will be complete. However, when you receive an order for a non-Printify SKU for the first time, it will appear in the Other Orders tab in Printify—provided there are no other Printify SKUs or mapped SKUs in the order.
To ensure that the correct item has been imported and future orders for that specific variant are sent directly to production, make sure to select the “Automatically import orders with this product variant” option.
