What is Printify Choice Global Fulfillment?

Available to Etsy and Shopify merchants, Printify Choice Global Fulfillment is a new program that features a curated selection of products and variants with local shipping rates and delivery times. As a result, customers receive high-quality products more quickly and at a lower cost.

Expand your business internationally with ease by creating a single product that automatically adjusts for customers in the US, Canada, Australia, the UK, and the EU.

Here’s how it works:

Select a Printify Choice product with the Global Fulfillment option.
Eligible listings are automatically fulfilled locally in the following regions: the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, and the EU. Buyers in these regions will see local shipping estimates and costs during checkout on Etsy and Shopify.
If any ineligible variants are included, the entire product becomes ineligible for Global Fulfillment. In such cases, the system will route the order using the regular Printify Choice geo-routing setup instead. To guarantee local fulfillment and display local shipping prices and delivery times, make sure that all selected variants are eligible for Global Fulfillment.

To create a new product or update an existing one for Global Fulfillment, follow these steps.

Note

Occasionally, local fulfillment may not be possible—for instance, if a variant is out-of-stock in the region—despite the customer having paid the local shipping rate. In such cases, the order will be placed on hold, giving you the flexibility to decide how to proceed.

Printify Choice Global Fulfillment: Benefits & Limitations

Benefits	Limitations
Localized shipping for global buyers – Offer local shipping rates to customers outside the US (including UK, EU, AU/NZ, CA), increasing competitiveness and boosting conversion rates.	Not all products or variants are eligible – Currently limited to select products (e.g. Bella Canvas 3001, Gildan 5000, 6400, 18000, 18500) and their most popular variants. Ineligible variants (like certain colors or sizes) must be manually removed from listings.
Minimize global selling stress – Avoid issues like tariffs, supply chain delays, GPSR compliance worries, and cross-border shipping by letting Printify fulfill orders locally.	Limited geographic coverage – Local shipping is available in select regions (US, CA, UK, EU, AU/NZ). Other regions (LATAM, most of APAC, MEA) are not yet supported.
Better Etsy rankings – A single, globally optimized listing combines traffic and sales, improving visibility and chances of ranking higher in search.	Some value-added services, like branded inserts, may not be available with all local fulfillment options.

Note

Etsy shipping profiles only support a single “Country of origin” field. This means that listings will always say “Ships from the U.S.” — even if we're actually shipping the item from a local partner and showing local rates to the buyer.

Which products and variants are eligible for Global Fulfillment?

The Printify Choice Global Fulfillment program currently includes the following products:

Unisex Heavy Cotton Tee (Gildan 5000)
Unisex Softstyle T-Shirt (Gildan 64000)
Unisex Heavy Blend™ Hooded Sweatshirt (Gildan 18500)
Unisex Heavy Blend™ Crewneck Sweatshirt (Gildan 18000)

Although not all color and size variants of the listed products are eligible, we have carefully selected the most popular and best-selling options to maximize sales potential and provide a seamless customer experience.

When you select a product with Global Fulfillment, the Product Creator automatically shows only the eligible variants. To view all available variants, simply toggle off the filter.

Tip

Global Fulfillment gives you the benefit of faster and cheaper local shipping, but it also means that Printify automatically selects the local provider. If you want full control over which provider fulfills your orders, disable Global Fulfillment and publish products directly from your preferred provider.

How does Global Fulfillment differ from Order Routing?

There are several key differences between Global Fulfillment and Order Routing:

Order Routing:

Designed to prevent out-of-stock issues, as well as optimize fulfillment by rerouting single-line item international orders to a closer provider whenever possible.
Helps reduce delivery times but does not lower shipping costs for the customer.
Can sometimes cost slightly more than the original provider while staying within your set limits.
Enabled or disabled at the store level, so it applies to your entire store.

Printify Choice Global Fulfillment:

Ensures your production price remains the same regardless of the customer’s location.
Shortens shipping times for international buyers, similar to Order Routing.
Allows you to offer local shipping rates for Etsy and Shopify. Local shipping rates can increase your visibility on Etsy.
Works at the product level, giving you greater flexibility.

How are taxes handled when using Global Fulfillment?

When you enable Global Fulfillment, products are fulfilled locally based on the buyer’s location. This means that sales in the UK, Canada, Australia, and the EU may be subject to Value Added Tax (VAT), Goods and Services Tax (GST), or other regional tax equivalents.

Etsy: Etsy automatically calculates and applies the appropriate local taxes at checkout for these regions.
Shopify: Shopify, being a standalone store, does not automatically add the local tax to the customer order on your behalf, as Etsy does. This needs to be configured in your Shopify store settings. Learn more here.

Unlike US sales tax, which allows exemptions through resale certificates, local taxes in other countries do not. As a result, Printify applies the applicable tax when processing the order. How do taxes work on manual orders?

For manual orders containing Global Fulfillment products, the tax, which can range from 0-27%, is calculated after submission. This is because the final fulfillment location, which determines the tax, is selected after the order is placed to ensure the fastest shipping and best pricing.

Can I offer free shipping with Global Fulfillment?

Yes! You can offer free shipping when using Global Fulfillment, but the setup depends on the sales channel:

Etsy: Simply enable the “Free shipping” toggle in Printify for the product. This works the same way as for any other Etsy listing.
Shopify: You’ll need to manually update the product’s shipping profile in Shopify. To keep your profit margins intact, remember to adjust the product price to cover the shipping cost.
