Import Tariffs: Updates for Printify Merchants

Starting August 29, 2025, the US will suspend the de minimis duty-free threshold. Most imports will now face customs duties, and USPS will only deliver, not collect duties. International carriers must handle duties before handing parcels to USPS. Many carriers aren’t ready yet, which could cause shipping delays, service disruptions, and some suspended shipments to the US.

We're actively monitoring the situation and working closely with our partners to reduce the impact on your business. Here’s what you need to know and what you can do to prepare.

What we’re doing to help

We’re switching to DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) shipping wherever possible. With DDP, duties are prepaid before the package ships, reducing the chance of delays or rejected deliveries.

There will be no added costs for you or your customers.

Note

Even with DDP, some delays may still occur due to new customs processes and extra export steps.

Print Providers currently offering DDP and still shipping to the US

Czech Republic: OPT OnDemand
China: ArtsAdd, Smart Printee, Subliminator, Printdoors, Custom Luxe, Sun-Fly Sublimation
Canada: Duplium
Mexico: Monster Digital, SwiftPOD, and others continue operating normally

US-based Print Providers are not affected. Domestic shipping within the US will continue as usual.

Temporary restrictions

Until postal carriers update their processes, some international Print Providers will not be able to ship to the US

Orders from these providers heading to a US delivery address will automatically be flagged with the On Hold status. You can:

Cancel the order and receive a refund
Resubmit the order with a US Print Provider (if available)
Or wait— the order will stay on hold until shipping resumes (We can’t guarantee that this will happen or speculate on how long it might take)

We’re working to enable DDP for these providers so they can resume shipping to the US as soon as possible.
