What is Printify Choice, and how does it work?

Printify Choice is a fulfillment option that automatically selects the best Print Provider for each order from a vetted network, instead of you choosing and managing one provider yourself. Printify Choice does not require a separate subscription or monthly fee. You only pay the listed product and shipping costs for Printify Choice items.

Why choose Printify Choice?

  • Reduced out-of-stock risk: If one provider runs out of stock, Printify Choice automatically selects another vetted provider from the network to fulfill that order, rather than marking the product unavailable.
  • Closer fulfillment: The routing algorithm fulfills each order from the closest included provider when possible, which can reduce shipping time compared to a single fixed provider.
  • Printify Quality Promise: Only providers that meet Printify's quality standards are included in the network. All your orders are backed by the Printify Quality Promise. If anything falls below standard, simply send us a picture, and we’ll ship a replacement to your customer at no cost to you.

To create a product with Printify Choice, browse the Printify Choice category in our Catalog, select a product, and click Start designing. Next, add your design and publish the product to your store as you normally would. Alternatively, migrate your eligible existing products to Printify Choice.

Unlike Order Routing, which switches providers when an item becomes unavailable, Printify Choice uses a network of vetted providers from the start to optimize fulfillment.

Which products are available with Printify Choice?

The Printify Choice range currently consists of 100+ best-selling products, including t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, totes, and baby garments. Browse the Printify Choice category in the Catalog to see current options.

Note

Out-of-stock issues are unlikely with Printify Choice, since you're selecting a network rather than a single provider. In rare instances of unavailability, the system selects a vetted, identical substitute at no extra cost to you.

What print areas are offered with Printify Choice?

Printify Choice products support a wide variety of print areas depending on the item, including front,  back, sleeves, neck labels, and all-over print. Browse the Printify Choice category and use the filters to narrow products by print area.

Note
When you choose Printify Choice, you are selecting a network rather than a single provider. Although the Printify Choice algorithm strives to maintain a consistent print area, designs may be reduced by up to 7% in rare cases with unique colors.

Keep in mind that if you create a product with multiple print areas under Printify Choice, and no Print Provider supports all those areas with the item currently in stock, the product will be marked as out of stock during order processing, even if it appears as in stock in the Catalog.

How much does Printify Choice cost?

Printify Choice products are available at a fixed price, providing the best value among all options in our Catalog. You’ll pay the listed price regardless of the fulfillment provider.

Most shipping options start from USD 4.29 (+2.09 for each additional item). Shipping always follows this first-item-plus-next-item rule regardless of how many Print Providers fulfill the order.*

Is international shipping available through Printify Choice?

Printify Choice offers the best value with the United States as your target market. If you don't see the Printify Choice option, make sure the United States is selected as your “Ship from” region (target market) in the Catalog.

International shipping is also available. See international shipping rates for current pricing.

  • Printify always tries to fulfill an order within the customer's country or region if it costs the same or less. The customer sees the international Printify Choice shipping rate at checkout, but if local fulfillment is available, you may end up paying less than what the customer was charged. You'll never pay more than the listed Printify Choice price.
  • If there isn’t a nearby fulfillment location, we will ship the order from the US and apply the listed international shipping rates.
  • If Global Fulfillment is enabled for your products, customers in the US, Australia, Canada, the UK, and the EU will see localized shipping rates and delivery speeds at checkout. Currently available to Etsy and Shopify merchants only.

How are orders with multiple products fulfilled?

Our system will always attempt to group all ordered Printify Choice products together wherever possible, fulfilling them at one fulfillment location.

If grouping all items at one location isn’t possible, we may split the order between multiple Printify Choice fulfillment locations. However, shipping prices will always follow the first-item plus next-item rule, ensuring you are never charged more than expected. This applies only to Printify Choice products within the order.

For the best savings, we recommend migrating your eligible existing products to Printify Choice.

When might an order be split and fulfilled in different facilities?

Orders may be split in certain cases, such as the following:

  • Non-Printify Choice items: The order includes a non-Printify Choice item, and Order Routing is disabled in the store settings.
  • Temporary provider issues: A Printify Choice Print Provider is temporarily out of stock or experiencing technical issues for a specific variant.
  • Multiple product variants: The order contains variants that must be fulfilled by specific Print Providers due to unique capabilities.

Will I be able to see which Print Provider fulfilled my Printify Choice order?

When you select Printify Choice as the fulfillment option, our platform will automatically choose the most suitable Print Provider from our network of top-quality providers, taking into account your customer’s location, while charging you a flat production price.

However, specific Print Provider details will not be disclosed and may vary for each order or product fulfilled with Printify Choice.

Are Printify Choice products compatible with other Printify features?

Yes, Printify Choice products are compatible with other Printify features, such as:

In rare cases, branding inserts and gift messages are not supported by the Print Provider and are automatically removed, and the cost of the insert is fully refunded.

Will my existing orders be automatically routed to Printify Choice?

If an exact product match is available and it will result in both time and cost savings, your order will automatically be routed to be fulfilled through the Printify Choice network. This feature is enabled by default in your store settings, and orders are only rerouted when savings are guaranteed, without changing the original product.
