What are packaging inserts?
Packaging inserts are customizable cards added to eligible orders to help you connect with customers and promote your brand. You can use them to share a short message, encourage reviews, offer discounts, or highlight your social channels.
Common uses include:
A branded “thank you” note
A discount code
A QR code linking to reviews
Social media links or other calls to action
How packaging inserts work
Packaging inserts are printed on demand and included with every order fulfilled by a Print Provider that supports this feature.
If an order ships in multiple packages from different supporting Print Providers, each shipment will include its own insert.
Pricing:
USD 0.10 per insert for Printify Premium subscribers
USD 0.15 per insert for merchants on the Free plan
(Tax not included.)
Orders with inserts are routed only to Print Providers that support them.
Refunds for inserts are issued as sales credit.

Size: 6" × 4" (15.2 cm × 10.1 cm)
Paper: 170 gsm
Border: A visible ~0.16" (4 mm) border on the mockup
Printing: Single-sided (the back remains blank)
Which products support packaging inserts?
You can find supported products by applying the Inserts filter in the Printify Catalog.
Products that support branded inserts will display a “Branded inserts” badge next to the Print Provider option on the product page.

Is the design printed on one or both sides?
Inserts are printed on one side only.
The reverse side remains blank and white.
Are inserts added to orders that were already “On hold” when I enabled the feature?
No. Inserts are included only in orders created after the feature is enabled.
What happens if I update the insert design and need a reprint?
A reprint order will always use the current insert design saved in your store settings.
If you update the design again later, future reprints will use the new version.
If I update the insert design while an order is “On hold” or “In production,” will it update?
No. The insert design is locked in at the moment the order is created.
Any changes made after that will not affect that specific order.
Can I use different inserts for different products?
Printify currently supports one active insert design at a time.
However, you may use a manual workaround:
Upload the insert design you want.
Create and submit the order.
Change the insert design.
Create the next order.
This allows different designs per order but requires manual updates.
How can I see which orders include inserts?
You cannot filter by inserts in the product or order list.
However, you can:
Filter your products by Print Provider in My Products to see which ones are fulfilled by providers that support inserts.
Open an order’s details page. If the order includes an insert, you’ll see a preview thumbnail below the ordered products. Click the thumbnail to expand the preview.
