Are Print Providers switched automatically based on the customer’s delivery details?

When you select a Print Provider and create a product, it will be fulfilled by that provider. If the provider has multiple facilities worldwide, our system will prioritize the closest one whenever possible.

However, you can enable additional features that allow our system to switch providers for stock shortages or optimize fulfillment for faster delivery. These can be turned on or off based on your preferences.

Providers with multiple fulfillment facilities globally

If you choose a product from a Print Provider that has multiple fulfillment centers worldwide, the order will automatically be fulfilled in the fulfillment center that is the closest to the customer’s delivery location. Typically, the same products are available in all of a Print Provider’s fulfillment centers.

You can see the Print Provider’s fulfillment center location on each product page. If the same Print Provider has more than one fulfillment center, all locations will be listed:

Note

It is not always guaranteed that an order will be fulfilled at a local fulfillment center near the customer. Factors such as product availability may result in the order being fulfilled at a different location.

Features that change providers

When you enable these features, the Print Provider may change. In some cases, the new fulfilling provider will be displayed, such as with Order Routing. In other cases—such as with Printify Choice—the exact provider remains undisclosed.

Note

Since Printify Choice Upgrade will always result in a price decrease while keeping the same product, this feature is enabled by default. However, you can disable it at any time in Store settings.
