Are Print Providers switched automatically based on the customer’s delivery details?
The Print Provider who fulfills your order may or may not be switched automatically, depending on whether you have enabled our Order Routing feature. We recommend enabling it as it will save you and your customer a lot of time.
If you’ve enabled Order Routing for your store
Orders will be automatically routed to another Print Provider in case of a stock issue.
In case of intercontinental deliveries, we’ll route your order to a similar Print Provider within the destination country or region of the end customer (when available). Please note that this only applies to single product orders.
If you haven’t enabled Order Routing for your store
In this case, the Print Provider will not be switched automatically based on your customer’s delivery details. The Print Provider that you choose at the time of creating the product will be used for order fulfillment.
However, you can manually switch the Print Provider for customers in different locations.
You can see the Print Provider’s fulfillment center location on each product page. If the same Print Provider has more than one fulfillment center, all locations will be listed.
Print Providers with multiple fulfillment centers worldwide
If you choose a product from a Print Provider that has multiple fulfillment centers worldwide, the order will automatically be fulfilled in the fulfillment center that is the closest to the customer’s delivery location. Typically, the same products are available in all of a Print Provider’s fulfillment centers.
However, please note that it is not always guaranteed as other factors such as product stock availability also come into play and may result in the order being fulfilled in another location.
