How do I set up shipping?
Setting up your store shipping in accordance with Printify’s shipping rates helps you avoid undercharging (or overcharging) your customer in shipping fees. Depending on the sales channel that you’re using, there may be several options to set up shipping.
Shopify
- The most convenient shipping setup option is to publish your shipping rates directly to Shopify, which requires no additional effort on your part. If your store currency is not in United States Dollars (USD), Shopify will automatically convert the shipping rates to your store’s currency.
- If you have an Advanced/Annual Shopify plan or carrier-calculated rates available for your Shopify account, you can enable the Printify Shipping Calculator for Shopify. However, note that the shipping prices are only provided in USD.
- Alternatively, you have the option to offer free shipping. By using this method, you will be charging the customer with the shipping cost already included in the retail price. In Printify, you will still be charged with shipping costs as usual. To set up free shipping, follow these steps:
- Edit the “General profile” in Shopify and set the price to 0.00 (for one country only, e.g., the United States).
- Create a product in Printify, include the shipping fee in the retail price, and manually select the “General profile” under “Assign shipping profile” before publishing it.
WooCommerce
- If the currency settings within your WooCommerce store are currently set to United States Dollars, download and activate the Printify for WooCommerce shipping plugin. Then you can publish Printify products to your WooCommerce store, and the applicable shipping rate will be assigned to them automatically.
- If you’re using a different currency for your WooCommerce store, we recommend using “free shipping” (include the shipping fee in the product price).
Etsy
- If the currency settings within your Etsy account are currently set to United States Dollars, the applicable shipping rates will automatically be assigned.
- If you’re using a different currency for your Etsy store, you’ll need to adjust your shipping rates manually via your Etsy account. We recommend using a currency converter to ensure that your shipping rates are in line with the Printify shipping rates.
- Note that, due to an Etsy limitation, there are two situations in which the Etsy customer will be charged a slightly lower or higher shipping rate than they should have been. Learn more here.
